Character from Plague Inc. by Ndemic Creations
The zombie plague — a mutagenic virus that reanimates the dead, turning a pandemic into an apocalypse with shambling hordes that overwhelm military defenses.
Necroa Virus is two games in one. Phase one is a conventional pandemic — spread the virus, manage symptoms, stay ahead of the cure. Phase two begins when you evolve Cytopathic Reanimation, and the dead start getting back up. The zombie phase transforms the gameplay completely. Cure research becomes less relevant because you're no longer fighting a medical problem — you're fighting a military one. Zombie hordes appear on the world map as shambling clusters that can be directed to attack countries, overwhelm military bases, and destroy cure research facilities. Governments shift from medical response to military response, deploying Z-Com (a dedicated anti-zombie military force) to contain and eliminate hordes. The strategic depth is remarkable. You need enough living infected to sustain horde growth, but enough zombies to overwhelm defenses. Horde abilities (Regenerative Activation, Enhanced Motor Control, Structured Travel) make your zombies faster, tougher, and more coordinated. The endgame is often a tense standoff between your zombie hordes and Z-Com's fortified positions, with the fate of humanity decided by whether your undead army can breach their last stronghold.
A highly mutagenic viral particle with an unstable protein coat that shifts configuration rapidly. On the evolution screen, the pathways split dramatically at the Cytopathic Reanimation node — everything above is a conventional virus, everything below is the zombie apocalypse. Horde nodes pulse with a sickly green-grey light.
