Character from Plague Inc. by Ndemic Creations
The self-destructing doomsday agent — a pathogen engineered to kill, generating lethality automatically whether you want it to or not.
Bio-Weapon is the game's ultimate irony: a pathogen so good at killing that killing is its biggest problem. Its signature mechanic generates lethality passively — the pathogen becomes more lethal over time regardless of your symptom choices. You are fighting your own creation's efficiency. The strategic challenge is genuinely novel. Every other pathogen wants to become lethal at the right moment. Bio-Weapon is lethal from the start and wants to become LESS lethal — or at least, to delay its lethality long enough to infect the whole world first. Its special abilities (Gene Compression, Deactivated Modified Genes, etc.) let you temporarily suppress or reset lethality, buying time for spread. This creates a fascinating rhythm: you're simultaneously trying to spread the pathogen everywhere AND holding it back from its designed purpose. It's like driving a car whose accelerator is stuck and your only controls are the steering wheel and a brake that overheats. Bio-Weapon games end in either total extinction or embarrassing failure — you wipe out your hosts before reaching isolated countries, and Greenland survives to rebuild humanity. Again.
Military-grade biological engineering — a weaponized organism with deliberate lethality baked into its genetic code. On the evolution screen, lethality pathways glow a deep, angry red, and new lethal mutations appear on their own without player input. The whole interface feels like a countdown. Because it is.
