Dream Den

Location from Pikmin 2 by Nintendo / Shigeru Miyamoto

The final cave of the game — fourteen sublevels in the Wistful Wild ending in the Titan Dweevil, atop which Louie is found sitting, expression unreadable.

Dream Den earns its name through accumulation. Fourteen sublevels. No Candypop Buds — whatever Pikmin you brought in are the Pikmin you have. The enemies are drawn from across the entire game, concentrated. At the bottom, the pile of treasure moves. The Titan Dweevil rises. Louie is on top. He looks fine. The Remembered Old Buddy treasure on sublevel 15 is Louie himself, catalogued in the Treasure Hoard. His Sales Pitch says: 'King of Bugs.' The game does not clarify further.

Appearance

Fourteen sublevels that reprise aesthetics from earlier in the game — as if the cave is recapping everything that came before. Gas pipes fill many of the exits, requiring White Pikmin to clear. The final floor is shaped like a GameCube. Firefly-like insects drift around the final sublevel. A pile of treasure reveals itself as the head of the Titan Dweevil.
