Character from Pikmin 2 by Nintendo / Shigeru Miyamoto
The lightest and most airborne of the Pikmin types — they arc high when thrown, conduct electricity, and were the only ones willing to carry Bomb Rocks in the early days.
Yellow Pikmin occupy the space between utility and chaos. They can be thrown higher than any other type — useful for reaching elevated treasures, terrifying when a captain misjudges the arc and watches one sail past the target entirely. They prefer elevated habitats, which tracks. They seem at ease in trees, on ledges, in the air for those brief moments between throw and landing. They are immune to electricity, which makes them essential in the Subterranean Complex and the Submerged Castle. They do not hit as hard as Reds, but they can reach things Reds can't, and in a world structured around verticality and hazard, that matters enormously.
Yellow-bodied with enormous ear-like appendages on either side of their heads — the most immediately distinctive type. They are notably lighter than their counterparts, which shows in how they move: a little bouncier, a little less anchored. Their Yellow Onion glows overhead.
