White Pikmin

Character from Pikmin 2 by Nintendo / Shigeru Miyamoto

The smallest and fastest Pikmin type — pale, red-eyed, and full of poison that they release into anything that eats them, making their own death a last-resort weapon.

White Pikmin are fast enough to keep pace with sprinting captains. They can detect treasures buried entirely underground, their red eyes apparently capable of seeing through earth. They destroy poison pipes and walk through toxic emissions without slowing. When something eats them, it regrets it — the toxin they release on consumption deals significant damage to predators. This does not save the Pikmin. It just means their death costs the enemy something. They were named after the White Flower Garden where they're first discovered, which seems right. There is something precise and a little unsettling about them — those pupilless red eyes, the speed, the poison. They are not the aggressive type. But they are not nothing.

Appearance

Noticeably smaller than all other Pikmin types — the smallest in the game. White-bodied with striking red compound eyes and no pupils, which gives them a slightly uncanny quality. Their extremities are tinged purple, hinting at the toxin in their bodies. They move at a sprint that would outpace any other type.
