Where the Dolphin fell and the Pikmin rose — a small, bright clearing that is both the beginning of Olimar's survival story and the place he returns to when he needs to remember why he started.
The Impact Site is warm. That is the first thing — the sunlight here is unfiltered, the air smells of grass and soil, and the clearing feels enclosed and protected despite the open sky. Morning brings a pale fog that burns off by midday, leaving clear light that shifts to amber and orange as sunset approaches. It is the safest place on the planet, and it knows it. But safety is relative. From Day 8 onward, something large occupies the northern arena: on even days, the Mamuta, a gentle gardener-creature that pounds Pikmin into the earth to flower them; on odd days, the Goolix, a translucent blue amoeba whose touch drowns non-Blue Pikmin on contact. The Impact Site's lesson is the game's central lesson — even the beautiful places have teeth, and the teeth come on a schedule. This is where Olimar crashed. This is where he pulled the first Red Pikmin from the soil. Everything that follows — every creature fought, every ship part recovered, every sunset sprint back to the Onions — starts in this small, bright clearing.
A compact woodland clearing. Grass taller than Olimar sways around the wreckage of the S.S. Dolphin. A grassy southern plain gives way to a northern beach section with a large tree trunk and a shallow pond. Stone surfaces and tree stumps break the terrain. Cardboard boxes and fragments of a reinforced wall suggest this clearing was not always empty. The Red Onion stands on its three legs near the landing site, its flower spinning slowly in the sunlight.
