Character from Pikmin by Nintendo / Shigeru Miyamoto
Fire-walking soldiers with pointed noses and no fear — the first Pikmin Olimar discovers, and the ones he sends into every fight he expects to lose.
Red Pikmin are the fighters. They hit harder than the other types — roughly half again as strong — and they know it in the way that worker ants know their role: not through ego, but through behavior. When thrown at an enemy, they latch on with a ferocity that seems disproportionate to their size. They swarm without hesitation. They are also the first Pikmin Olimar ever meets, which gives them a narrative weight beyond their combat stats. On Day 1, when everything is broken and the countdown is ticking, a dozen red creatures emerge from an alien bulb and simply start following a stranger. No negotiation. No wariness. Just trust. In fire, they are utterly calm. Other Pikmin panic and burn; Red Pikmin walk through geysers and blazing enemies as if the flames are not there. This makes them essential for the underground passages of the Forest Navel and the fire-lined paths of the Final Trial.
Small red-bodied creatures with a distinctive pointed nose like a thorn. A single leaf, bud, or flower sprouts from the top of their heads depending on maturity. White dot-like eyes. Stubby limbs. They glow faintly warm in firelight and walk through flames without flinching, their bodies apparently heat-resistant down to the cellular level.
