The Hero Association's classification system — S, A, B, C classes with numbered ranks, determining pay, prestige, and who gets to ignore the rules.
The Hero Registry is the bureaucratic backbone of the Hero Association. Heroes are classified into four classes (S, A, B, C) and ranked numerically within each class. Rankings shift based on performance, public opinion, and the Association's assessment of threat response. The system is deeply flawed — Saitama (the strongest hero) languished in B-Class because he failed the written exam, while King (a fraud) sits at S-Class Rank 5 on reputation alone. Sweet Mask gatekeeps A-to-S promotion. The registry is the series' most effective satire of institutional hierarchies.
Not a physical object but the institutional framework that organizes heroes. Rankings are displayed on the Association's website, broadcast during emergencies, and used by the public to judge who's worth trusting. The ranking board is a constant source of drama.
