Location from Hades by Supergiant Games
The first and lowest biome of the escape route — a labyrinthine dungeon of dim sickly-green light, hostile shades, and the River Styx flowing through its walls.
Tartarus holds the souls condemned for crimes and sins — wraiths, shades, and infernal creatures in an endless culture of combat and survival. The denizens fight because there is nothing else to do here. Social hierarchy is decided by strength. The Furies operate here: Megaera, Alecto, or Tisiphone waits at the end of chamber 14, rotating as the region's boss. Sisyphus has his unique chamber where he and Bouldy take their eternal break. Charon appears mid-route with his shop. It is fifteen chambers long by default, and every room is a fight or a choice. The River Styx is both the landscape and the threat.
An oppressive indoor maze of dungeons and corridors carved from dark rock with jagged, crumbling formations. Sickly-green lighting. Chthonic fire flickers in shadowy corners. The River Styx flows through and around the chambers, audible even in corridors without exits. Spike pits and chimera dart traps line the floor. The whole place smells like brimstone and old punishment.
