Plegia

Location from Fire Emblem by Intelligent Systems / Nintendo

Ylisse's dark mirror — a desert nation that worships the Fell Dragon Grima and serves as Awakening's primary antagonist, though its people are more complicated than their religion suggests.

Plegia worships Grima — the Fell Dragon that nearly destroyed the world — and its conflict with Naga-worshipping Ylisse is Awakening's central geopolitical tension. The Grimleal cult seeks to resurrect Grima using vessels of the correct bloodline (which is why Robin's heritage matters), and the nation's military aggression is driven by this religious mandate. Plegia is more nuanced than it initially appears — not every Plegian supports the Grimleal, and the nation's people suffer under both external war and internal religious extremism.

Appearance

A harsh desert nation with dark stone fortresses, Grimleal temples, and a scorching landscape that reflects the nation's aggressive reputation. The aesthetic is deliberately ominous — red and black colors, serpentine imagery.
