Robin

Character from Fire Emblem by Intelligent Systems / Nintendo

The amnesiac tactician — found in a field with no memories and a mysterious brand on their hand, destined to either save the world or destroy it depending on whose voice they listen to.

Robin is Awakening's tactician and the player's avatar. They wake up with amnesia, are recruited by Chrom, and become the Shepherds' strategic genius. The twist — that they carry Grima's bloodline and were bred to be the Fell Dragon's vessel — transforms them from ally to potential apocalypse. Their bond with Chrom is the game's emotional core. The choice of whether to sacrifice themselves to destroy Grima permanently or let Chrom seal it (guaranteeing it returns later) is Fire Emblem's defining moral dilemma: the selfish love of staying alive for your friends versus the selfless act of dying to protect the future.

Appearance

Variable (player avatar) but canonically depicted with white hair and a dark Plegian mage's coat with gold trim. The coat is oversized and mysterious. Their hand bears the Mark of Grima — a fact they hide.

Also known as: Robin, The Tactician, Grima's Vessel
