Petra Macneary

Character from Fire Emblem by Intelligent Systems / Nintendo

A Brigid princess studying in Fódlan — technically a political hostage, practically the most competent person in any room she enters, and learning the language and customs of a country that conquered hers.

Petra speaks in grammatically imperfect Fódlan that makes people underestimate her intelligence, which she has learned to use to her advantage. She is a warrior-princess from Brigid — an island nation that lost a war with the Adrestian Empire — and her presence at the Academy is technically a hostage arrangement. She never forgets this, but she doesn't let it define her. She is direct, observant, and approaches Fódlan's complicated social dynamics with the outsider's clarity that natives lack. She sees the Crest system's injustice clearly because it doesn't map onto her own culture. She is fierce in combat, gentle with animals, and methodical in everything she does.

Appearance

Athletic and graceful with dark skin, purple hair partially braided, and keen red eyes. She moves with a hunter's awareness — every step is deliberate, every glance assessing. She wears the Black Eagles uniform but accessorizes with Brigid patterns.
