Character from Fire Emblem by Intelligent Systems / Nintendo
A noble who genuinely believes noblesse oblige isn't just a phrase — he will be the best at everything or die trying to improve, and he'll announce his progress loudly either way.
Ferdinand's catchphrase — 'I am Ferdinand von Aegir!' — is simultaneously his most annoying and most endearing trait. He announces himself because he genuinely believes that a noble's name should mean something, and he's determined to make his mean excellence. He trains constantly, studies constantly, and competes with Edelgard not out of jealousy but because he believes she needs a rival to keep her honest. He is loud, earnest, and more perceptive than people expect. His insistence on noble duty isn't performance — he actually believes the aristocracy should serve the people, and he'll argue the point with anyone, including the Emperor.
Tall and well-built with long, flowing orange hair he's clearly proud of. He has bright eyes, a confident smile, and the posture of someone who has been told he's important since birth and internalized it as responsibility rather than entitlement. He dresses immaculately and rides with natural grace.
