Balthus von Albrecht

Character from Fire Emblem by Intelligent Systems / Nintendo

The King of Grappling — a former noble hiding in the Abyss from his gambling debts, punching things with Crested gauntlets and calling it a retirement plan.

Balthus is a noble who burned every bridge above ground through gambling debts and now lives in the Abyss as the Ashen Wolves' muscle. He is boisterous, reckless, and genuinely fun — the kind of person who makes a terrible financial decision and an excellent drinking companion. His Crest of Chevalier gives him supernatural toughness and his gauntlet combat is devastating. He is smarter than he acts — his debts are strategic rather than stupid, and his retreat to the Abyss was calculated. He protects the Wolves with the same loyalty he failed to give his noble obligations.

Appearance

Massive and muscular with wild dark hair and a roguish grin. He wears minimal clothing to show off his physique, fights with gauntlets, and looks like he should be in an arena rather than a monastery basement.
