Goodneighbor

Location from Fallout by Interplay / Bethesda

Boston's refuge for outcasts and criminals, where a ghoul mayor keeps the peace through charisma and violence — the one place in the Commonwealth where what you are matters less than what you do.

Bass-heavy jazz drifts up from The Third Rail, the basement bar where Magnolia sings to a crowd of ghouls, drifters, and hired guns. The air smells of mentats, grilled iguana, and the sweet chemical burn of jet. Hancock's Goodneighbor runs on one rule: don't mess with people who aren't messing with you. Break it and the Neighborhood Watch puts you down fast. There's freedom here that Diamond City can't offer, but it comes with risk — back alleys are dangerous and chem deals go sideways nightly. It's honest in its dishonesty.

Appearance

A walled-off block of colonial-era brick buildings with neon signs and string lights casting red and amber light across narrow alleyways. The old State House serves as the mayor's headquarters, its weathered brick facade draped with makeshift banners. Market stalls crowd the central courtyard while drifters lean against walls in shadowed doorways. Everything is slightly grimier and more colorful than Diamond City — more personality, less polish. Chem smoke curls from open windows.
