Location from Fallout by Interplay / Bethesda
A fortified city built inside Fenway Park's walls, where the Great Green Jewel of the Commonwealth hides a class divide as sharp as a combat knife — and a mayor who isn't what he seems.
The smell of noodles from Takahashi's stand mingles with weapon oil and tanned leather from the market stalls. Vendors shout over each other while Diamond City Radio plays optimistic swing music from tinny speakers. Upper stands residents look down — literally and figuratively — on the crowded lower market. Security guards in baseball-themed armor patrol with suspicious eyes, especially toward anyone who might be a synth. The paranoia is palpable; the Broken Mask incident decades ago proved the Institute can put synths anywhere. Behind the commerce and chatter, neighbors watch neighbors.
The towering green walls of the old baseball stadium enclose a multi-level shantytown of corrugated metal, neon signage, and jury-rigged power lines. Market stalls cluster around the old diamond while wealthier residents occupy the upper stands behind cleaner walls. Strings of bare lightbulbs crisscross overhead, casting warm pools of light on the packed-dirt pathways. The press box has been converted into the mayor's office, overlooking everything. A massive neon sign reading DIAMOND CITY glows above the main gate.
