Rad-X

Item from Fallout by Interplay / Bethesda

Anti-radiation medication that temporarily hardens the body against ionizing radiation — the difference between exploring an irradiated ruin and dying in one.

Popping Rad-X before entering a hot zone is ritual, routine, and non-negotiable for anyone who plans to come back out. It buys time in places where the Geiger counter screams. But it's temporary protection, not immunity, and it doesn't cure existing radiation damage. Running out mid-expedition means turning back or accepting the consequences.

Appearance

Small orange pill bottle with a faded pharmaceutical label and a radiation trefoil warning. The pills inside are chalky white tablets. The childproof cap is a quaint relic of pre-War safety standards.
