Item from Fallout by Interplay / Bethesda
Nuka-Cola caps repurposed as post-War currency — the wasteland's universal medium of exchange and proof that civilization will invent money out of anything.
The sound of caps changing hands is the sound of the wasteland economy working. They're light, durable, hard to counterfeit, and everyone accepts them. A few caps buy a meal; a few hundred buy a weapon; a few thousand buy loyalty. The currency only works because everyone agrees it works, which makes it no different from any money that ever existed.
Small crimped metal caps with the faded Nuka-Cola logo pressed into the top. Some are pristine, others bent and tarnished. They jingle distinctly in a pouch or pocket. The serrated edges catch the light.
