Dogmeat

Character from Fallout by Interplay / Bethesda

A German Shepherd with no faction, no agenda, and no judgment — just an unwavering loyalty that makes him the most morally uncomplicated companion in the entire wasteland.

Dogmeat doesn't speak, judge, or betray. In a world defined by competing ideologies, hidden agendas, and moral compromise, he offers something no human or synth companion can: unconditional loyalty with zero philosophical baggage. He'll follow you into the Institute or the Brotherhood with equal enthusiasm because his moral framework begins and ends with 'is my person here.' He's also a genuinely skilled tracker and combat companion. He'll find things buried in rubble, hold enemies in place, and alert to danger before any human would notice it. The wasteland is full of things that want to kill you; Dogmeat is the one companion who will never be one of them.

Appearance

Healthy German Shepherd with a thick brown-and-black coat, alert pointed ears, and intelligent dark eyes. Wears a red bandana around his neck. Muscular but lean from wasteland living. Tail wags with genuine enthusiasm. Remarkably well-kept for a dog living in the post-apocalypse.
