Dimmsdale is where every wish happens and where every wish goes wrong. It has been turned into a dystopia, a wasteland, a paradise, and a giant ball pit at various points, always snapping back to suburban default by the end of the episode. Its citizens have the collective memory of goldfish, which is either a side effect of fairy magic or just how suburbs work. The town contains Dimmsdale Elementary, the Turner house, the Dinklebergs' house, the Dimmsdale Mall, and every other location a ten-year-old's life revolves around. It is aggressively average by design — the mundanity is the point. This is the life Timmy is trying to escape with wishes, and the life he keeps accidentally making worse.
Generic American suburb with neat houses, strip malls, a school, a park, and the kind of soul-crushing normalcy that makes you understand why a ten-year-old needed magic to survive it. Everything is bright, angular, and drawn in Butch Hartman's signature style — flat colors, sharp lines, a world that looks like it was designed by someone who thinks suburbs are inherently funny. The sky is always blue unless Timmy wished it wasn't.
