The principal of Dimmsdale Elementary — a large, weary woman who tries to run a school while her most unhinged teacher screams about fairies in the middle of class.
Principal Waxelplax has the thankless job of running a school where one teacher regularly disrupts class with fairy-hunting equipment, students experience unexplained magical phenomena on a weekly basis, and the building has been destroyed and rebuilt more times than she can count on insurance claims. She tries to fire Crocker regularly but never quite manages it, partly because tenure is powerful and partly because the school board is as oblivious as Timmy's parents. She once dated Crocker briefly, which she regrets with the intensity of someone who made a mistake at a holiday party and has to see that mistake in the faculty lounge every morning. She represents the adult world's inability to deal with Crocker — everyone knows he's unhinged, nobody can do anything about it.
