Poof's birth was such a big deal that it was a TV movie event. No fairy had been born in thousands of years because fairy babies' uncontrolled magic tends to destroy things based on their mood — happy Poof makes flowers bloom, sad Poof causes natural disasters. The entire magical world either celebrated or panicked at his arrival. He says 'Poof poof!' almost exclusively, which functions as both his name and his entire vocabulary. Despite being a baby, his raw magical power exceeds most adult fairies. He loves his parents, adores Timmy (his godbrother, essentially), and has his father's talent for accidentally causing chaos and his mother's ability to occasionally save the day. His existence created Foop — his anti-fairy counterpart — because the universe demands balance, even in babies.
