Flipsie is a toy. A literal, battery-operated toy dog that flips over when you press a button. Dark Laser loves it with the devotion of a man who has nothing else. He talks to it. He takes it on missions. He has risked his evil plans to protect it. Flipsie is the show's sneakiest piece of writing — a joke about a villain loving a toy that slowly becomes a genuine emotional beat about loneliness. Dark Laser is a man in a Vader costume living alone in space. Flipsie is the one thing that makes the void bearable. The show never says this out loud. It doesn't have to.
Small mechanical toy dog that does exactly one trick: it flips. Plastic, cheap-looking, clearly a mass-produced toy. It has button eyes and a wagging tail. It looks like something you'd win at a carnival. Dark Laser treats it like a living companion.
