McDuck Manor

Location from DuckTales by Disney Television Animation

Scrooge's ancestral mansion on Killmotor Hill — a sprawling Victorian estate that has served as the base of operations for a family of globe-trotting adventurers and survived accordingly.

McDuck Manor is a home, a museum, and a mystery. Every room is evidence of something Scrooge did and probably doesn't discuss — a trophy from one adventure, a sealed door from another, a painting with a story attached that he tells only obliquely. Webby has catalogued everything she could access. The stuff she hasn't accessed yet is the interesting part. The manor is large enough that the triplets found entire secret rooms during their first visit. It has a ghost (Duckworth), a housekeeper who could stop a small army (Beakley), and a butler's pantry that Scrooge has not been into since 1987. It is the show's emotional home base — the place everyone comes back to, the place the family is assembled and tested. Adventures start here and the consequences live here afterward.

Appearance

A massive, somewhat gloomy Victorian mansion perched atop Killmotor Hill at the edge of Duckburg. The architecture is imposing and slightly gothic, with turrets, tall windows, and the weathered quality of a building that gets used. The interior is a layered archive of Scrooge's history — trophies, maps, artifacts, and rooms that haven't been opened in decades. The kitchen smells of whatever Beakley is making. The attic contains things that probably shouldn't be there.
