Asgore's flower shop — a tiny, struggling store with a name its owner thinks is clever, where a former king and former police chief arranges bouquets for a woman who won't return his calls.
Flower King is Asgore's second chance at having a purpose, and it's barely working. The shop has few customers. The flowers are excellent. The owner is a seven-foot goat monster who used to be a king and then a police chief and is now arranging roses with hands that could bend steel. He named it 'Flower King' himself and he's proud of it. Kris can visit and he'll give them a free bouquet with genuine warmth. He makes arrangements for Toriel that she accepts without comment. The shop is next to Sans's grocery, and their dynamic as neighbors — the sad giant and the knowing skeleton — is one of Hometown's quieter details. The shop is a monument to trying. It is small and struggling and beautiful and it will not give up.
A small, cramped storefront on Hometown's main street, wedged next to Sans's grocery. Overflowing with flowers that Asgore tends with meticulous care. A hand-painted sign reads 'Flower King' in cheerful letters. The interior is warm and colorful despite its modest size — every surface has a plant on it. Asgore barely fits inside. The shop always smells overwhelmingly of flowers, which is either comforting or suffocating depending on how you feel about the man inside.
