King's fortress at the top of Card Kingdom — a towering structure of playing cards and cruelty, where the Chapter 1 climax unfolds and Jevil waits in the basement.
Card Castle is where Chapter 1 reaches its climax. The heroes ascend through its floors, fighting card soldiers and navigating traps, to confront King at the top. Each floor represents a card suit — diamonds, clubs, hearts, spades — and each has its own aesthetic and challenges. Beneath the castle is Jevil's prison — accessible through a hidden path and guarded by nothing more than a door and Jevil's own willingness to stay. The secret boss fight takes place in a circular arena that feels separate from the rest of the world, which it might be. The castle is a symbol of King's power and his fear. He built it high so no one could reach him. The heroes climbed it anyway.
A massive castle built from giant playing cards, stacked impossibly high. Dark blue and black with card suit motifs on every surface. The interior is a series of increasingly hostile floors — each guarded by card soldiers. The throne room at the top overlooks the entire Card Kingdom. Below the castle, in a hidden passage, lies Jevil's cell. The architecture is oppressive and deliberately intimidating, designed by a king who rules through fear.
