Character from Deltarune by Toby Fox
The Card Kingdom's self-appointed 'Rules Card' who speaks in butchered Shakespearean English, designs puzzles that a child could solve, and considers himself a master strategist despite all evidence to the contrary.
Rouxls Kaard announces everything. He announces his puzzles ('THOUST FOOLS! PREPARETH FOR THE GREATEST PUZZLE OF ALL TIME!'), his villainous monologues (they're terrible), and his switches in loyalty (frequent). His fake Old English is consistent only in its inaccuracy — he'll use 'thou' and 'est' in the wrong places with absolute confidence. He serves as a minor antagonist in Chapter 1 and a nuisance in Chapter 2, designing puzzles so easy that the party solves them by accident. He considers Lancer a worthy rival (Lancer considers him a friend, which confuses him). He switches sides the moment the wind changes and feels no shame about it. He is a comic relief character played with total commitment, and the game loves him for it. His puzzles are deliberately the worst puzzles in any RPG, which is the joke.
A tall, thin Darkner with light blue skin, flowing white hair, and an angular face that he clearly considers handsome. Wears a blue outfit with a white ruffled collar. His posture is theatrically regal — chin raised, chest puffed, one hand always gesturing dramatically. He looks like a playing card that wished upon a star to become a count and got halfway there.
