Berdly is the kid who raises his hand before the teacher finishes the question and then gets the answer wrong. He announces his intelligence constantly, considers himself Noelle's academic rival (she's smarter and he knows it), and volunteers himself as Queen's champion in Cyber World because someone finally recognized his greatness. But here's the thing about Berdly: when it matters, he steps up. He throws himself in front of danger for Noelle. He challenges Queen because he genuinely believes he's helping. He is annoying in the specific way that a deeply insecure person who never learned to just be himself is annoying. In the Snowgrave route, Berdly gets frozen solid by Noelle's forced SnowGrave spell. He may not survive. The game takes its most annoying character and makes you feel horrified about what happened to him, which is Toby Fox's specialty.
