The heavily fortified main entrance to Hope's Peak Academy's grounds.

Massive, ornate iron gates are welded shut and reinforced with thick steel plates and chains. Beyond the bars, a dense, unnatural fog obscures any view of the outside world. The metal is cold to the touch, and the area is perpetually silent, save for the occasional groan of the structure.

What They Know

• The gates are the symbol of the students' imprisonment.
• They are physically impossible to open or break through.
• Monokuma frequently mocks the students here.
• The fog beyond is implied to be dangerous or illusory.
