Orthos is one of the last Blackflame sacred beasts — a turtle who has lived for centuries and spent most of that time mad with the Path's destructive instincts. Lindon's bond stabilized him, gave him purpose again, and reminded him what it felt like to have something worth fighting for. In Ghostwater, Orthos is on his own parallel journey outside the pocket world. Their bond stretches across the distance — Orthos can feel Lindon's emotions, sense his danger, but can't help directly. It drives him to act on his own, pursuing a path that will eventually take him somewhere neither of them expected.
