Location from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III by Infinity Ward / Activision
The capital of the United Republic of Adal — a dense Middle Eastern city that served as the original Warzone 2.0 map and operational theater for MW2's Special Ops campaigns.
Al Mazrah was the first major theater of the MW2/Warzone 2.0 era — a city that appeared in MW2's Special Ops missions and became the original drop zone for Warzone 2.0 before being replaced by Urzikstan in Season One of MW3. The city contains easter eggs referencing virtually every major CoD map ever made — Shipment, Terminal, Highrise, Dome, Afghan — buried in its geography as a celebration of franchise history. In the Zombies mode for MW3, Al Mazrah's Dark Aether rifts become playable in Operation Deadbolt.
A large urban environment mixing modern commercial districts with older medina-style quarters. Al Mazrah City is ringed by industrial zones, military installations, and the Al Bagra Fortress that anchors the region's defensive infrastructure. The climate is arid. The infrastructure is contested.
