Item from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III by Infinity Ward / Activision
Soap MacTavish's signature equipment — throwing knives that he carries the way other operators carry extra magazines, as an extension of his approach to close-quarters work.
The throwing knife appears in Soap's equipment loadout across MWII and MW3 missions. In the fiction of the unit, it's the thing that marks Soap's kit as distinctly his — Price has his cigar, Ghost has his mask, Soap has the knives. They're practical. He reaches for them when the noise penalty of a shot matters or when the geometry of the fight makes a thrown blade faster than a trigger pull. The unit doesn't discuss it as remarkable because it stopped being remarkable years ago.
Standard military throwing knives with weighted balance — not decorative, entirely functional. Carried in a forearm or chest rig for quick draw. Soap's technique is practiced to the point where reaching for one is as automatic as reaching for a sidearm.
