Character from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III by Infinity Ward / Activision
The Russian political movement that Makarov now leads — founded on the belief that Russia was betrayed and humiliated after the Cold War, and that restoration requires men willing to act where politicians won't.
The Ultranationalists have been the ideological throughline of the Modern Warfare franchise since its beginning. In the reboot timeline, they were founded by Imran Zakhaev, led briefly by his son Victor, and have been consolidated under Makarov's command for the MW3 period. Makarov is the best version of this ideology's leadership — coherent, patient, operationally capable, and not personally reckless. He believes genuinely. That belief is the most dangerous thing about him.
No unified look — the Ultranationalists range from Konni Group contractors to political operators to anonymous financiers. Their iconography is Russian nationalist: imagery of Soviet-era power, references to the Cold War, materials that speak to restoration rather than revolution.
