Chimera

Character from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III by Infinity Ward / Activision

Nikolai's private military company — a grey-zone operator that functions as Task Force 141's extraction and logistics backbone when official channels are unavailable.

Chimera exists in the space between official sanction and outright illegality. This is by design. Nikolai built it to be useful to people who need things done when the paperwork can't be filed — which, in the modern warfare operational environment, is constantly. The company's relationship with Task Force 141 is symbiotic: the 141 provides Chimera with legitimacy and high-profile work, Chimera provides the 141 with the assets and access that official channels refuse to authorize. Neither side discusses the arrangement at length.

Appearance

Chimera operators dress in civilian-adjacent gear designed for deniability — nothing that announces military affiliation. Nikolai's own kit is practical and worn-in. The company's assets include aircraft, ground vehicles, and the kind of access to restricted zones that suggests extensive bribery or deep institutional contacts. Probably both.
