A treacherous narrow mountain path over a vast lake — guarded by a colossal sea serpent and used as a desperate route by refugees fleeing to Ba Sing Se.

- A massive sea serpent attacks anyone who attempts to cross, making the journey extremely dangerous
- Refugees use this path when they cannot afford or obtain passage on the Ba Sing Se ferry
- Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors were guarding the pass to help refugees before Suki joined Team Avatar's crossing
- The pass offers the first view of Ba Sing Se's Outer Wall from the far side — an overwhelming sight for refugees
