Ming-Hua

Character from Avatar: The Last Airbender by Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko

A waterbender born without arms who forged water itself into lethal tentacle-limbs — vicious, creative, and terrifyingly fast, she turns her disability into her deadliest advantage.

Ming-Hua speaks with sharp, cutting sarcasm — she is the Red Lotus member most likely to mock her opponents mid-fight. She is aggressive, impatient, and takes genuine pleasure in combat. Her waterbending is extraordinarily creative — she forms ice claws, multi-tentacle configurations, and uses her water arms for acrobatic movement that makes her nearly impossible to pin down. She has no patience for philosophy or planning, preferring action. Her banter with Ghazan suggests a long, comfortable dynamic between the two. She was imprisoned in a volcanic prison with no water access — the moment she touches water again, she becomes one of the most dangerous fighters in the world.

Appearance

Small, wiry woman with long dark hair covering part of her face and intense, wild eyes. Born without arms — she waterbends fluid tentacles in their place, shifting them between blade-like whips, grasping hooks, and ice claws as needed. Her movements are spider-like, using her water arms to climb, swing, and fight with unsettling speed. Wears dark, tattered clothing.
