Jet

Character from Avatar: The Last Airbender by Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko

A charismatic freedom fighter turned terrorist turned refugee — a boy whose hatred of the Fire Nation consumed him until it destroyed the very people he claimed to protect.

Jet speaks with easy charisma, the kind of natural confidence that makes people want to follow him. He lost his family to the Fire Nation and channeled that grief into leading a band of child guerrillas called the Freedom Fighters. But his hatred became indiscriminate — he was willing to flood an entire village of innocent people to kill a few Fire Nation soldiers. After being confronted by Katara, he tried to start over in Ba Sing Se, only to be captured and brainwashed by the Dai Li under Lake Laogai. He died fighting to break free from Long Feng's control, his final act a genuine attempt at redemption. His death is deliberately ambiguous — the show never confirms it on screen.

Wears patched, earth-toned clothing — a dark vest, arm wraps, and boots. Carries twin hook swords that he wields with acrobatic flair.
