Terra

Location from Arknights by Hypergryph

A world that moves to survive — a planet where cities walk, minerals kill, and the line between resource and plague is the same crystal growing in your lungs.

Terra feels like a world holding its breath between disasters. The air carries trace Originium particles that make breathing itself a low-level risk. Cities move because standing still means death — Catastrophes strike unpredictably, and the Originium they deposit is simultaneously the world's most valuable resource and its most lethal contaminant. The gap between rich and poor manifests as the gap between those who can afford to live in mobile cities and those left in the Catastrophe zones. Night on Terra is darker than Earth's — the Starpod blocks celestial light, and the Originium veins sometimes glow with a sickly luminescence that locals have learned to read as weather forecasts.

Appearance

A massive supercontinent of extreme environmental diversity: scorching deserts, arctic tundra, fertile heartlands, and underground caverns. The landscape is scarred by Catastrophes — natural disasters that leave trails of Originium crystals and render areas uninhabitable. Mobile cities crawl across the terrain on vast mechanical platforms, their silhouettes visible for miles. The sky is blocked above a certain altitude by the Starpod, a planetary barrier that prevents space exploration.
