Sargon

Location from Arknights by Hypergryph

The desert cradle of civilization — a Mesopotamian-inspired region where ancient calendar systems and polytheistic traditions persist beneath sand and heat.

Sargon is hot, ancient, and patient in the way that deserts are patient — it was here before the other nations and will be here after. The region established Terra's common calendar through King Lugalszargus's synchronization with the Lateran Church, giving it foundational cultural influence despite its current relative quietude. The Archosaurian peoples (Gavial's race) maintain their own traditions within the larger region. Sargon's polytheistic religious traditions predate most other Terran faiths.

Appearance

Vast desert landscapes punctuated by oasis cities and ancient ruins. The architecture blends Mesopotamian and Middle Eastern influences with mobile city engineering adapted for extreme heat. Sandstone structures, irrigated gardens, and temple complexes mark the settlements. The desert itself is beautiful and lethal, with Originium deposits visible as crystalline formations in the sand.
