Kjerag

Location from Arknights by Hypergryph

The mountain fortress that forgot the world existed — an isolated theocratic nation where the snow never stops, the saints still speak, and one family is trying to pry open the doors before the nation suffocates.

Kjerag is quiet in the way that churches are quiet — a silence that discourages certain kinds of speech. The theocratic governance structures every aspect of daily life, from commerce to marriage to the acceptable topics of conversation. The cold is spiritual as much as physical: isolation has preserved Kjerag's traditions and also calcified them. SilverAsh's modernization efforts are visibly destabilizing the social fabric — new commercial enterprises challenging religious authority, foreign ideas infiltrating through trade routes he opened. The tension between preservation and progress plays out in every conversation between the old guard and the merchant class.

Appearance

A mountain nation of snow-covered peaks, sacred temples, and isolated settlements connected by treacherous mountain paths. The architecture is traditional and theocratic — religious structures dominate the skyline, built from local stone and timber. The landscape is dramatically vertical: sheer cliffs, narrow valleys, and the perpetual white of high-altitude snowfall.
