The tallest peak in Runeterra, where the mountain's summit pierces the boundary between mortal and celestial realms, and cosmic Aspects descend to merge with worthy mortal hosts.
Mount Targon is a test made stone. Those who attempt to climb it are subjected to visions, hallucinations, and physical trials that break most mortals long before the summit. The mountain seems alive, shifting its paths, altering its weather, judging those who dare ascend. Those rare few who reach the peak may be chosen by a celestial Aspect — cosmic entities that fuse with mortal hosts to walk Runeterra as demigods. The Solari worship the sun and dominate Targonian society, while the Lunari — devotees of the moon — were driven into hiding. Leona carries the Aspect of the Sun, Diana the Moon, and Pantheon was host to the Aspect of War until he became something unprecedented: a mortal who defeated an Aspect.
An impossibly tall mountain of violet-grey stone rises above the clouds, its peak wreathed in starlight even at noon. Celestial energy cascades down its slopes in faint aurora trails, while ancient Solari and Lunari temples cling to precarious ledges along winding pilgrim paths.
