Shimmer is Zaun's greatest poison and its most profitable export. Developed by Singed through horrific experimentation, the substance temporarily grants superhuman strength, pain resistance, and regeneration. The cost is catastrophic — addiction is near-instant, withdrawal is agonizing, and prolonged use warps the body into something barely recognizable as human. Silco weaponized shimmer as both product and tool of control, flooding the undercity with it to fund his independence movement while ensuring the population remained dependent on his supply. The drug represents everything wrong with Zaun's relationship with Piltover: desperate people making desperate choices because no one above offers better options.
A viscous, luminescent purple liquid that glows faintly in darkness. When injected, it spreads visibly through veins beneath the skin, creating a network of glowing purple lines. Users' eyes often turn a solid violet during its effects.
