This blade is an extension of Viego's obsession and grief made steel. Once an ordinary royal sword, it was corrupted along with its wielder when the Ruination consumed the Blessed Isles. Now it drains the life force of anything it cuts, feeding that stolen vitality back to Viego or spreading the Ruination's curse. The sword whispers to those near it, amplifying grief and regret until the listener is consumed by their own sorrow. It cannot be truly destroyed while Viego exists, and it cannot be safely wielded by anyone else — the blade tests every hand that grips it, and all are found wanting.
A longsword of blackened steel with a jagged, corroded edge that weeps dark mist. Spectral green energy pulses along the fuller, and the crossguard is twisted into thorn-like shapes. The blade leaves trails of Black Mist with every swing.
