Thresh

Character from Arcane by Riot Games

Sadistic spectral warden of the Shadow Isles who collects souls in his lantern. He does not simply kill — he traps and tortures spirits for eternity, savoring their anguish.

Thresh was cruel before the Ruination — he was a warden of an ancient order who secretly tortured those in his care. The Harrowing that destroyed the Blessed Isles and created the Shadow Isles merely gave his sadism supernatural scope. Now he is an apex predator of souls, patient and methodical in his torment. He does not kill quickly when he can draw out suffering. His lantern is a prison of eternal torment for every soul he has claimed. He is intelligent, articulate, and genuinely enjoys conversation — especially when it lets him study a victim's fears. He imprisoned Senna for years, fascinated by her resistance. He views himself not as evil but as an artist of anguish.

Appearance

A towering spectral figure with a skeletal frame wreathed in sickly green ethereal energy. His skull-like face grins perpetually beneath a wide-brimmed warden's hat. He carries a massive hooked chain in one hand and a glowing green lantern in the other — the lantern contains writhing, screaming souls visible through its glass. His form flickers between solid and ghostly.
