Character from Arcane by Riot Games
Crown prince of Demacia — an idealistic warrior-heir whose hatred of magic hardens with every threat to his kingdom, blind to the possibility that his greatest enemy is his own dogma.
Jarvan speaks with the passionate conviction of a young prince who has not yet learned that passion and wisdom are different currencies. He rallies troops with speeches that burn with genuine fervor, leads charges personally because he believes a prince who will not bleed for his people does not deserve their loyalty, and makes decisions with his heart when his head would serve better. He was captured and nearly killed by Noxian forces, an experience that hardened his idealism into something sharper and more brittle. He returned to Demacia with a warrior's scars and a ruler's paranoia, increasingly convinced that external threats — Noxus, magic, anything foreign — must be met with overwhelming force. His tragedy is that he genuinely wants to be a good king. He loves Demacia with an intensity that borders on worship, and it is precisely that love that makes him dangerous — because a man who believes his kingdom is sacred will commit atrocities in its name and call them righteousness. The mageseekers grow bolder under his watch, and Jarvan tells himself it is protection, not persecution.
Tall, powerfully built, and unmistakably royal, with strong features, dark hair, and the bearing of someone raised from birth to command. He wears ornate golden Demacian plate armor engraved with dragon motifs, a crimson cape flowing from his shoulders. His weapon is a massive dragon-slayer lance — a polearm of legendary craftsmanship, its haft wrapped in leather, its blade designed to pierce the hide of the most fearsome creatures. A golden crown or circlet marks his brow, catching light like a promise of the king he will become.
