The Warner Bros. studio lot's iconic water tower — home, prison, and launching point of the Warners, bigger on the inside than physics suggests.
The water tower is the axis of Animaniacs. The Warners were locked inside it for sixty years after being deemed too crazy to appear in their own films — and their escape is the premise of the show. The tower's impossible interior (T.A.R.D.I.S.-style bigger on the inside) suggests that whatever it contains is subject to cartoon rules, not architectural ones. The padlock on the door is a recurring symbol: it's put back on after every recapture and cut off again after every escape, usually before anyone realizes the escape has happened. At one point, Chicken Boo lived here between film shoots. The tower can apparently transform into a combat mech when the plot requires it.
A large cylindrical water tower on the WB studio lot, painted in yellow and red with the Warner Bros. shield. Has a door — usually padlocked — and sits on a wooden support structure visible from the studio gates. In the show it is clearly much larger inside than outside: full living quarters, a sleeping area, a kitchen, a bathroom, and at various points a log flume and a roller coaster.
