Character from Animaniacs by Steven Spielberg / WB
A retired cartoon legend from the golden age of animation — grouchy, impatient, and still fully capable of solving any problem with precisely aimed explosives.
Slappy is a retired cartoon star who was doing Looney Tunes-style mayhem before Looney Tunes made it famous. She is bitter, sarcastic, impatient with the modern world's sensitivity, and sees no difference between 'solving a problem' and 'blowing something up.' Her solution is always dynamite. The only variable is how much. She lives in a hollow tree with her nephew Skippy and faces a rotating cast of old enemies — Walter Wolf, Sid the Squid, Beanie the Brain-Dead Bison — who never learn. She also faces modern annoyances: perky neighbors, bureaucratic nonsense, Skippy's emotional crises. Her approach to all of them is the same. Her relationship with Skippy is the heart of her segments: she loves him completely while being completely unwilling to change anything about herself for him. He loves her back. It works.
An elderly gray anthropomorphic squirrel in her 80s. Wears a floppy green hat decorated with a drooping yellow flower, carries a pink purse and a green umbrella she uses as both a cane and a bludgeon. Purple eyeliner. In the evenings, a purple robe. Moves with the authority of someone who has been doing this since before your parents were born.
