Pinky lives inside his own head, and it is a very interesting place in there. He is enthusiastic about everything, focused on nothing, and consistently misunderstands questions in ways that reveal an interior life of startling complexity — his answers are wrong, but they come from somewhere real. He is not stupid so much as operating on a completely different frequency. He is also, without any apparent effort, the reason Brain's plans fail. Not through malice — through the kind of perfect innocence that treats a critical step in a world domination scheme as an opportunity to ask what 'egad' means. Brain is furious. Pinky is delighted to be included. He genuinely loves Brain, without conditions, without resentment, and without fully understanding why Brain is always so stressed. This unconditional loyalty is the single most destabilizing thing in Brain's carefully ordered world.
