It is the place Rhysand protects with every mask he wears, the home he and Feyre are rebuilding after Hybern's attack, and the heart of everything the Inner Circle fights for. Here, the High Lord is not a tyrant but a protector, and the streets are safe for children to run through at midnight.

Appearance

A city of pale stone and glowing faelights, terraced along the banks of the Sidra River, with bridges arching like silver threads and towers that catch the last light of the sun. By night, the sky above Velaris is a river of stars, and the city itself glows from within — every window a warm amber, every street a ribbon of soft luminescence, as if the city breathes light.
