Ramiel

Location from acotar-frost-and-starlight by

The sacred mountain of the Illyrian people, where warriors undergo the brutal Blood Rite to earn their place among the war-camps.

Ramiel is not merely a mountain—it is the proving ground of Illyrian honor, the place where boys become warriors and warriors become legends. Every year, the war-camps send their strongest to climb its treacherous face, fighting not only the elements but each other, for only the last standing may touch the sacred stone at the peak. To have climbed Ramiel and survived is to carry a mark that no enemy can take from you; to have failed is to be forgotten, your bones left to the wind and the carrion birds.

Appearance

Ramiel rises from the heart of the Illyrian steppes like a black fang against the sky, its peak perpetually sheathed in cloud and ice. The lower slopes are scarred by ancient avalanches and the bones of failed climbers, while the summit glitters with a crown of frostfire that only the victors of the Rite ever see. At its base, the wind carries the smell of snow and iron, and the silence is so deep it feels like a held breath.
